SD cards for Digital Audio Player (DAP) is it mission critical?

I'm getting myself a little DAP for some mobile music goodness.

Must now purchase an SD card.
There is a Sandisk Extreme 64GB for R269.00.

This is about the max. I want to spend.
Is this a good choice or would a larger 126GB card of a lower spec. be a better choice?
