Hi,
I posted previously in the vintage section but wanted to continue here with the updates.
I bought these (R1500) after testing the drivers with a battery and then sent them off to have dust caps, surrounds and xovers rebuilt.
What made these interesting to me is that they were sold back in the day by a local vendor for either hifi or studio use? I have no info and yes i called hifi installations.

The listening results were surprising to me because I did not expect them to be competitive with my modern gear. All 5 pairs of speakers in my collection are ported or reflex cabinets these are my first time spent with acoustic suspension or sealed box speakers. The bass is different and the midrange is more prominent.
All in all very nice sounding for a R3000 investment. The refurb including grill cloth cost R1500.
I removed the cheap stickers as I am a sucker for walnut. Any hints on removing the sticker residue without harming the wood?
Cheers,
Langerman
