Sending items to Scotland

Hey everyone
I need to send 3 miniature vintage bottles to Glasgow.
Is anyone perhaps travelling in that direction over the next few months and can take a small parcel with or can anyone recommend an affordable way to send them securely?
I just paid R1600 to send some documents to the USA via DHL - rip off?
