Viewing this thread below and seeing some of Mervin's and a few other members "extra hoarded kit" made me realize that we could be "robbing" music/equipment lovers of a truly magical experience. Should they not feel guilty of being in possession of equipment, music etc, that is just "standing there and not being used at all"?

Did anybody see the video where Maria Schneider, the Grammy winning musician/orchestra leader takes a group of instrument technicians, unused instruments she collected and goes to Cuba to fix school going kids' broken instruments, and how talented and competent those youngsters are playing their instruments onced fixed. An amazing and heart warming video and all kudos to her for her initiative. And yet, there are many, many people with instruments that are not being used for their intended purpose, i.e. to be played.
That's the seed that made me think about posting the above.
