Looking for a cartridge or stylus that will match well with the light arm on my Dual 721 TT.
It has a Shure v15iii cartridge with original fine-line, VN35E stylus. Stylus is worn.
I like this TT, as it is super quiet and works perfectly. I did some research, and the following options stand out:
- One forum member has a V15 IV original stylus that will fit the v15iii cartridge.
- A new Ortofon 2M Red. They are well regarded and the interwebs general consensus is they work very well on the Dual's light arm. Also, I can always upgrade to a Blue stylus later as they fit on the Red...
- Jico SAS replacement stylus for the Shure V15 series ... VN35HE or VN45HE. But this would get expensive...
