(I dont think this is HiFi) Seeing as they use it in cars.
So I've been browsing the webs and found the TDA1558Q amplifier chip, it's a 4 channel 11w per channel amplifier, but you can bridge two of the channels to have 22w stereo.
It's the the mute/standby pins, but I don't need that anyways
The circuit is dead simple. 4 Caps and the chip:
As far as I understand one of the projects I read, you can use a 10k POT with dual input/output to have the two channels adjust together.
You can build a PSU circuit for this, I see you get some 12v 3amp transformers.
However I was thinking of using a SMPS that also delivers 12v (3.5amp max)
Price Breakdown:
SMPS: R115
TDA1558Q: R25-40 depending on where you buy.
Caps: ~R5-10 depending on rating
Connectors/POT: ~R30
Given the above, what other options do i have for about R200?
I'm not going to be throwing parties or anything with this, it's just for powering PC speakers.
