Good morning, hope all is good?
I don't understand this too well so if you guys can shed some light.
Ok so i'm going to try and keep everyone happy and not start too many debates about surround vs stereo hahahaha
I do run 2 systems for exactly this reason. I have a Technics stereo amp that I use when listening to my LP's on a Thorens TD160 and a Marantz SR 5008 for movies (and some music using Tidal).
So the question I have, I understand that the AVR's are not strong enough to run proper floorstanders. I'm currently running Klipsch RF-150 bookshelves and I would like to upgrade them sooner or later, move them to the surrounds and add some nice floorstanders at the front.
Now! I need the to get a pre-amp or processor and a separate power amp (this is where i'm a bit lost). Am I going to have to spend 50k+ here to be able to give the speakers enough power in a home theatre setup or is there another way?
