Before lockdown I was content listening to Spotify on my Corsair Void gaming headphones whilst grinding away behind the laptop for hours
Then I tried Tidal in High Quality, and music never sounded so good. It was richer in almost every way and even more so apparent with A/B testing between Spotify and Tidal
Upgraded to HiFi/MQA, even better
Was lucky enough to get a loan NuPrime uDSD DAC/AMP two weeks ago, and have been loving this little DAC since switching it on
Today took delivery of a set of Status Audio CB1's this morning. Budget friendly closed back cans definitely a step up from the Corsairs in terms of sound quality. Thick pads definitely more comfortable
Next on the list, a more audiophile type gaming DAC that can take microphone input, like the Schiit Fulla or Hel. Needed for daily trudge of Zoom/Skype meetings
