So my best mate imported a Sonos Connect amp from the US and in his excitement he didn't change the voltage from 110v to 220v....
I have some basic electronic experience (i can hold a soldering iron with one hand) so my mate nominated me the best person to deal with the problem..
I managed to find two articles on the net which indicated the onboard 5a fuse and the Varistor would be blown, I order replacements from RS, wired it up and .......prooofff.. black smoke again.. I'm out of my depth...
Anyone recommend someone who could repair it?
