Now, let me state upfront:
1. I am more into the music than the technology
2. I know suck it and see is a good starting point
3. I know things can be measured, but a wall should look straight rather than be straight

My listening room is a compromise. TV and record player at 12 o'clock, my tocchus on couch 2.5m away at 6o'clock
Doors to lounge at 10 o'clock, to Merrim's office at 7 o'clock
Entire right wall to stoep glass, with thin curtain

Boston A100's on floor in corners opp me angled towards my listening point. About 4m apart

Now, received wisdom (and the Boston leaflet, produced in the days before 98% of the literature was safety instruxions (don't let your baby put its head in the plastic bag, only put your fingers in the plug if you are a qualified technician, too much Led Zep can damage your ears, phone this tollfree number if these instructions are not in the box, etc) sez speakers should be on the opposite wall 3 or more metres apart

Now so many setups I have seen here have the speakers adjacent to the record player, only 2 or so m apart

So who is right?

Confused Cory
