Speakers that suit Rock/Metal music

I have struggled for ages to find suitable speakers for Rock/Metal music and I think the closest I got were probably the Boston VR2's. I hooked up a pair of B&W DM603 S1's and slipped in some Chevelle. The Marantz PM6010 OSE which is hooked up does not have any tone controls so I was expecting something fairly neutral from these puppies. Anyhoo, these 603's blew me away. Phenominal bass response, controlled midrange and detailed tweeters. The tweeters can be a little bright at times but overall a brilliant floorstander.

What other sprakers out there play Rock/Metal well?
