My Marantz cd player that I have been using the last 16 years was recently stolen in a burglary. It seems as if an entry level Marantz 5004 costs R4000. I thought of buying a Blue Ray player which can deal with my dvds as well as cds, but the one I listened to sounded tinny whilst playing dvds (and not to bad playing cds).
Do blue ray players have dac (not that I know anything about this) and different sample rates, like you would find in different quality and priced cd players?
What will you recommend I do in this case (budget is always a factor).
