Okay so as most of you know I have two of these...one is making glorious music whilst the other was staring at me looking tired in her oxidising alloy shell...I was board so I stripped out every board, bolt and switch...I now hold just the faded alloy top half in my hands(don't have any idea how this things going back together)..question is..1.do I have this alloy made all bright and shiny again and re-assemble or try something different(Crankshaft you're to blame for this obscenity)mount the motor on its own in a plinth made by Alty(poor man)and mount all the boards etc in an enclosure on its own?2.The alloy on the unit has a thick clearcoat can I just sand it all down and bring back the shine?Pitting appears to be minimal but it lives under this clearcoat...any ideas would be welcomed!
