So i got a big hand me down wall unit yesterday and now have no space next to it for my sub. so i stuck in on top. :-\
the wall unit is very high, so the sub is now about a half a meter from the roof. i stay in a bachelors flat so there is no other space for it. lucky the roof is solid concrete cause there is still a flat above me. i have not noticed any real difference in sound. i tried putting the sub inside the wall unit but that create very deep base and thousands of panel raterling. ;D
i still hear the base fine, dont think i lost to much. the guy on top of me probably gained some though.
sub is part of the creative gigaworks 7.1 system and is a down firing sub with a port on the side.
this probably not the ideal solution, so i am open to suggestions. has anyone else tried to place a sub so high and close to the roof?
