The last piece of equipment I purchased before departing was the SABC SP10 motor unit from @Francois
Initially I had ideas of grandeur to go full out with 12" arm etc. but decided to rather use what I have on hand. The Moth Audio MK808 arm with Cardas Silver wiring which is currently on my SL1200MKII will be used. I sourced an OEM SL1200 arm on eBay which will go onto the SL. Construction will be 5 layers of 18mm Grade A Birch Ply.
The ply is currently in for CNC cutting. I hope to have the pieces back before the weekend so that assembly can start.
This is my design (no comments about my rudimentary AutoCAD skills please);
