I traded out my copper sp10 with power supply and i now have the silver unit connected to the original rackmount with the power supply and phonostage built in.I am running the table into a monitor series1000 Nad for phono duties.I was wondering if anyone knows the quality of the original studio stage that is built on a plug-in card type system...it has "W" printed all over the pcb and uses 2 LM348n chips mounted next to 2 adjustable blue pots and has a blue mono/stereo switch right at the front of the board,i have not been able to use it yet because the outputs run to balanced connectors and i need single ended.i think Steerpike mentioned that these were Studer/Revox "copies"built locally? The stage takes its power directly from the sp10's power supply, input to the stage is via a 5pin din with a red, black & earth soldered on and output from the the stage runs to two balanced connectors labelled Fader in left and right....anyone know if this phono is any good?I ask because my Steinhart pre has no phono and i would like to use her instead of the Nad.Many thanks Andre. Here comes my "probably really dumb" question(my silly mind at work)...i have two of these identical stages....any value in running both with them switched to mono?
