Technics su-v620 amp cutting out

Hi all

My amp recently started cutting out at very low volumes, its driving a set of B&W 683-S2's.  From what I understand the amp does this to protect itself and the speakers from damage.

I want to have a look at it tonight but would appreciate any pointer as to what I should be looking for to resolve the issue.
