From April 10, Tidal is rolling HiFi Plus plan into their cheaper HiFi tier. Yay.
This is great news for all Tidal subscribers as the current HiFi plus plan is nearly 2x (R159.99) the standard HiFi plan (R89.99).
I’m just hoping that this doesn’t slow down the rollout of 24-bit tracks after the MQA debacle. One can only speculate why they’re doing this but I think Apples decision to offer a single tier that includes hi-res made it very difficult for other services to maintain their HiFi tiers.
