Bought a nice looking Pioneer TT a while back, supposed to be working but I never got a preamp until last week, a Wiim Ultra. Super excited to spin the first LP but no sound. Everything else works and plays through the speakers so it’s down to the TT or the phono input on the Wiim. Guessing it’s the TT though, maybe a broken cable somewhere inside. Is there anyone in PE or East London who services TT’s that could have a look at it for me? I can hear the faint music from the cartridge so the needle is down and the LP obviously turns.
