Hi guys, I've got a beautiful pair of Quad floorstanders, and this evening I honestly thought my hearing in my left ear was going. You know age and all that... I actually went and cleaned my ears too! Probably not a bad thing cleaning them occasionally hey...
Upon returning to my listening session it dawned on me that the right tweeter had lost some HFs and a bit of output when compared to the left one. A bit of simple diagnostics (via biwire terminals) comfirmed my suspicions.
Now the question is... do I have said tweeter rewound, and if so by whom in and around Cape Town or do I purchase a replacement tweeter and if so who are the Quad agents in SA?
