Two sub cables on Pre-amp out to sub - Yes or No

Running a sub from the Pre-out on the amp with stereo connections for both, is it preferred to use two subwoofer cables to get "Stereo" bass delivery from both channels. The sub does not have a LFE input.  :thinking:
