UIF & New Staff and general help please - not about UIF claiming

Hi good folks

Ok, this might sound a little stupid if you are in the know, but I am having a little brain fart this morning, seems my memory is leaving me faster than the petrol consumption on my Jeep...

So all my tax affair are taken care of on SARS E-filing, including employer / employee PAYE reconciliation, UIF etc etc.

I do not make use of U-filing, as you have a choice of either U-filing or E-filing, and since the U-file platform dropped Mac OS, e-filing it is..

So if I employ a new staff member, am I supposed to register said members details with Dept of Labor or somewhere on e-filing platform on or prior to their day of employment, or do I only capture details at end of year when a tax certificate needs to be generated??

Sorry, I know it might seem rather arb, but I'm confused.... again....
