Hello people

Been a while since I posted but too busy listening to music  :O0:

So - I want to upgrade my car audio without breaking the bank or installing 12" sub woofers  :pleasant: All I want is quality as it sounds lame/muffled compared to everything else. It could just be the upgrade bug kicking in but I'm sure that it can be much better.

It's a Golf 5 TDI

I would like to keep the standard radio as an upgrade to that would be too expensive. I was thinking of changing the standard speakers only and have about R3000 to spend on that. Currently there are 4 speakers in the 4 doors and then some tweeters in front. I don't want to cut the back board and install speakers there. Now that I'm typing I'm thinking that a small amplifier with 2 X 6X9's on the backboard would probably the easiest and cheapest option for me. Run them from the RCA outs from the radio and keep the speakers in the doors as is?

Would this be a good upgrade and what make/type of speakers do I go for? Is my budget sufficient? I'm almost completely clueless when it comes to car audio these days so please help an audiophile out here. I don't want to go all West Coast customs on this project. All suggestions welcome  :help:
