To all the "custom builders" out there - Is it physically possible to upgrade a receiver as to accommodate newer technology, specifically inputs such as HDMI or LAN? Or would there always be a restriction in terms of firmware. I don't know much about what goes on inside a receiver/amp, only to what it can and can not do, and that certain components are better than others.
Not thinking about actually doing it
... just curious.
