Hi all,
I have a stereo network receiver that I'm struggling to sell, and would like to use the pre-outs to my main amp - so that I can take advantage of the streaming capabilities but still make use of my primary amp. In the case that I'm looking at the pre-outs are the zone 2 outputs.
The stereo network receiver is the Onkyo tx-8270, which I realise is overkill just for the streaming capabilities. The main sources of streamed music are lossless files on a server (DLNA) and Spotify.
Would a dedicated streamer such as the Node 2i or similar be significantly better?
It would be great to understand if anyone has tested a similar scenario or any specific things I need to consider.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards
SM
