A while ago mr @Jozua_2019 commissioned this beauty from Spyderman, and has been 'singing' it's praises, even likening the SQ to that of his ARC combo!
I waited patiently for the invite while the amp started playing in, and:

So on Thursday Jozua and myself set off on the trek to @Lance's retreat, looking forward to partnering his Exclame 150 XSE with Sonor's flagship - the highly impressive Claro 10.2.

Following a brief warm-up, Lance played an interesting variety of music - either via Tidal, or via his magnificent Revolve, when the whole production chain was proudly South African!
And we were all 3 very excited about what we heard - beautiful music played with authority, clarity and effortless poise.
What really shone through for me was the way the sound stage reflected the way recordings were done - large venues at times, and closely 'miked', intimate recordings were easily distinguishable. Resolution was top notch, instruments and voices sounding very real, and well separated ito imaging.

At one stage we swapped interconnects, and all 3 of us could immediately quite easily describe the same differences in reproduction.
The VA amp was a revelation - driving the huge speakers with consummate ease, authority and beautiful tonality.
The last piece we listened to, was called Moonlight Sonata, by Marcin. It features lightning fast guitar play, intricate drumming/percussion and very deep bass. This piece is very demanding on the coherence of a system, and even when played loudly, this SA built system handled it with finesse!
Another fantastic sounding lp was 40, a compilation of Yello hits.

Unfortunately, such magic moments had to end, with the threat of traffic forcing us back on the road - but a big thanks to Jozua and Lance for a great musical treat! 🙌
