After the recent detailed replies on the washing machine thread, I thought to ask for tried & tested recommendations of vacuum cleaner brands & models.
Currently have a Bennet Read Force8, which seems underpowered in the house compared to previous flat, and it's now hard to find filters for it.
The house is still fairly small, less than 200m2, and half of it is tile or parquet.
The real issue is my wife's sinuses and the dust - and so we're chiefly looking for something that does a good job of vacuuming up allergens.
Wet & dry is not a necessity (albeit a nice to have), and budget looks to be 3-4k.
Good quality & longevity are important, and it would be nice to have either a bagless (water?) system, or one where the bags are easily available & don't cost an arm & a leg.
The reviews of the Henry vacuums in dealing with allergens are good (can't stand the smiley face, but whatever).
Any other recommendations based on the above?
Thanks!
