Hi.

I'm looking into investing into some goodish quality sound equipment.

I've decided I would rather invest in a good 2.1 system ( that can hopefully be utilized into the future as well ) then a surround sound system. Is this a good idea, or are there other suggestions?

So I guess the main question is, what AV Receiver ( watch quite a lot of Tv ), speakers, etc do you recommend and where is the best place to get them?

More info.

1. Have a open plan home, so not a dedicated area for this setup.
2. Have a 46" Samsung D6000 (I think)
3. Based in Cape Town
4. I'm a big fan of value-for-money, so wouldn't mind spending that little extra to get more quality hardware.

(Don't really have a budget, recently got a bonus, but don't want to spend it all, so just want to get an idea on what things cost.)

Thanks for your help, a bit of a newbie in this area, just know that it will make life so much better with some better sound :)
