It has been very hot here the last few days and some visitors wanted to listen to my Leak Stereo 20 which I don't play all that often.

This amp sits in an open rack and I also have 4 larger than usual rubber feet underneath but after an hour's play, the transformers got hotter than I remember.

I have options of several computer type fans here - some 12Vdc and some 24Vdc and all have roller bearings so they run pretty quiet.

There is enough free space above the amp to fit any of these cooling fans on the underside of the rack above the amp and run it off a 12 or 24Vdc ac adapter to cool things down a bit. The room where the Leak is, is not my main listening area so a little fan noise won't bother me.

Is this kind of arrangement (to blow cool air/extract hot air) OK for this amp and its valves and transformers?
