I've compared some schematics, especially these 2:
1. en.uraltone.com
2. Vacuum tube audio PH12
But then I bumped into this , which seems quite complicated

I'd like to use only 2 valves if possible. Which of the first 2 schematics would theoretically be the better one to build or is it much of a muchness? The Uraltone has no coupling cap and the bleeder resistor is before the second valve. I like the PH12 for the ability to use the jumper to adjust gain. Is this possible on the Uraltone circuit as well and what effect does the different JFET's have in the design.
