So, I recently acquired a valve Audio Exclame integrated amp. This will be my first valve amp although I am aware that it is a hybrid, ie input stage is valve, followed by 4 x mosfets in the power section. Started googling and found a few interesting opinions about the signature of a valve amp in that it, I suppose in a way makes clipping more bearable, in other words can go a lot louder than a ss without the perception of clipping without it sounding harsh, this said to be in the mid range section. My question here is, with a already harsh mid range such as B&W FST mid range 683 s1...not sure of the s2's though as they have reduced the gain on the mid driver although possibly due to a different criteria mid driver. Would it warm the mid range at all? I know that you can not polish a turd......but hey we try, this is the last try coming from me with the 683 driver woe's.

My reference's as follows:
