As per topic. But, specifically how far can one go (back in time) before 'vintage' becomes false economy or poor bargaining. May we categorise discussions specifically to sources (most fragile imo), amplifiers (most durable imo) and loudspeakers as opposed to generalizations. I often spot tempting (old) gear up for sale (in this forum, AVSA, etc) at bargain prices and wonder if it's really worth purchasing in this day and age. What's your take?
