Hey all.
I have a total newbie question regarding my FM reception. Something I have always just taken for granted.
Is there a cheat way ( I am sure we would all love a mast on the roof ) but that is not possible where I am. I am however raised quite high and I am probably on the highest altitude this east side of JHB
First off, indoor antennas. I am using just a twisty bit of wire that came from a 1990s music centre with bare wires at the end.
I have noticed usually 4 inputs on the receiver side for aerials and an earth sign sometimes. I think I also saw 75 Ohms vs something else. What is this for and which of the 2 options do I connect the wires too? what is the difference between the two options?
My reception meter is sitting on 8 out of 10 for 5 fm and only 4/10 for Mix FM, I can hear the distortion worse at night from MIxFM and does not matter the amount of fine tuning I do it wont go away.
IM thinking maybe a powered indoor antenna, if there is such a thing?
:vsad:
