So this has me scratching my head.
On our property, we have two routers. My main one is Vodacom, the other is a local company called Urbanwave.
I started having connectivity issues with the Vodacom router about two weeks back, where it would drop signal, even though the router was showing full signal. After much testing, it looked like my tp-link wireless USB router for my desktop was faulty, so I ordered a new one.
This is where the fun started. Initially it saw and connected faultless to the Vodacom router.
But the following day, I noticed that although it was 'seeing' the Vodacom router, it couldn't connect to it. No error messages, nothing. It would show the router as being full signal strength, but the instant it connected, it would show zero signal, and would then default to the Urbanwave router.
My streamer also lost connection and I had to use a LN cable to connect the two.
However...
My cellphone and my wife's cellphone connect perfectly to the Vodacom router.
The USB router for my desktop can connect perfectly to the Urbanwave router.
I've tried forgetting the Vodacom network and then connecting again.. same issue.
I'm at a loss to what the issue is. The Vodacom router can't be faulty because our cellphones connect perfectly.
The USB adapter can't be faulty because it connects perfectly to the Urbanwave router.
Any ideas??!
