XBMC Gotham on Ubuntu DAC settings

Hi all

I just received my HRT microStreamer DAC and hooked it up to my Ubuntu based XBMC setup, I have select the USB output device and I am getting sound through to my amp but I have no idea if I have XBMC configured correctly to get the most out of the DAC. I see loads of options but to be hones I have no idea what half of them really means. Can someone maybe point me in the right direction ?

These is my current settings.... 
Output configuration = Optimized
Limit sampling rate (kHz) = 48
Normalize levels on downmix = Yes
Resample quality = High
Keep audio device alive = 1min
