So I had an extra 1200 Watt UPS lying about not doing anything and I had this idea to hook up my new Denon x4200 to it as well as my two active 12" subs. My reason for this is that our area seems to be getting a lot of power dips and complete outages recently and I don't want it to damage my equipment. I couldn't care less about keeping them running, I'm literally only using the UPS to protect against these annoying dips. Is anyone else here doing this? Should I avoid hooking up my Amp and subs to a UPS? The reasoning behind my idea seems solid, but when it comes to audio equipment, my reasoning has been less than accurate at times lol.
Your amp and a UPS. Buddies?
