    Albums that changed your tastes

The album that had the most influence on me in terms of changing my music taste was Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime Prior to growing ever fonder of this album, and the harder genres (to end up with Tool, System of a Down and Serj as my favourite artists these days), I lived waiting with...

The first recording you ever bought?

First Vinyl: think it was a single.  Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark.  Either that or Radio 5's Top Hits Vol1 First CD: Jackson Browne - Running on Empty

I was considering switching to iPhone until....

I've been using my Apple equipment on various flights all around the world.  That would be the iPod Touch, the iPhone 4, and even the iPad, and none of them ever exploded.  My wife may have exploded because I was giving them more attention than her, but I'm still alive :)

    Media player advice

Okay, let me throw another idea in the mix.  Have you considered the Dune range?  I have the Dune HD Max, and it playes anything I throw at it.  I previously had the Netgear EVA8000, and upgraded to the Dune.  They are light years appart. The Dune's response time is incredibly quick, even with...

    Sting in SA

I've got my tickets  :D  Unfortunately weren't able to get the middle front section at the Dome, but at least got seated in the side front area  (where the golden circle normally is).  Thought the ticket sales only went live at 10:00 today, so only went on to Computicket's site at 9:10.  Should...

    Tablets

Also, there now is a USB interface that you can get for the iPad.  It is called the iFlashDrive from PhotoFast. If you're only interested in syncying photo's, another way is with the 32pin camera sync adapter.  I got the one that allows you also to hook the iPad up to a TV.

    Sting in SA

Okay...  Well, on the subject of who is the best band, is surely must be Tool.  But as that is not the topic of this thread, let me not go there.  ;D  But back to the original topic, has someone tried the Sting pre-sale tickets?  The misses is also interested, and I've been told that we will be...

    Spelling

There is always spell check :)  But I suppose that too is too much of a mission for some.  I've accepted many moons ago that my spelling suck, but spell check is always at hand.  Would have been great if we had spell check in Eng and Afr literature exams way back when :)  I wouldn't have had all...

    Tablets

The iPad works brilliantly.  My girlfriend has started to use the Gautrain to save time in traffic, and she uses it to check her email before she even get's to the office.  Also, we now take the iPad, rather than a laptop, with us on holiday.  Much smaller that a laptop, and can do most things...

DVD RECORDERS BANNED IN SOUTH AFRICA ?

I still have my LG HDD/DVD recorded, though since I got my HD PVR three years ago it now mostly just takes up rack space.  Before that, used it on a daily basis and it was great.  I had PVR before we had PVR :-)

    3D t.v

I got the Samsung LED D8000 60" (UA60D8000YRXXA) a month ago, and I'm very pleased.  Picture quality is so lifelike it is scary.  Have watched some Blu-Rays in 3D, and LOVED it  :)  Also, the SmartTV is a nice added feature, and have the TV hooked up with a CAT5 to the web.  Got the remote...
