    Best free VPN

I would not trust a VPN. It would be like trusting a crook to do your banking. lol. Paid VPN is better. I use expressvpn. Can't complain and the price is good.

    recommended download schedulers.

No offense taken. Being a AV newbie, I am sure Andrew will have a laugh at me when I open my mouth about AV equipment.  :blah: :blah: . I don't mind writing the script for Andrew, but I would prefer not to because it is not good practice to run scripts from other people. Esp with virus' and...

Just some feedback guys. I got my the Ubiquity AC LR, and the EdgeMax router. Very impressive to say the least. I would definitely recommend them.

    recommended download schedulers.

You can do so using a powershell script. Look at the following link. https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2028737-seeking-script-to-turn-off-wireless-and-then-proceed-to-shutdown-pc

    Router reccomendations

Personally, I would go for the Ubiquity AC LP access point, and the Ubiquity Edgemax. I have that setup at my home. It is rated for business use. Plus they can handle VPN and any anything you can throw at them. Proper stuff. All you then do is, plus the ISP router into that equipment. So if...

MA Bronze 2 for home theatre?

I have the all the MA Bronze 1 speakers, and 2 MA sub's ( W10's). Very happy actually, it works for my needs, although I am looking to upgrade my subs though to something else. But I am sure you won't be unhappy.

    LFE and bass management

I have a similar setup to you. I have a Denon system, and monitor audio bookshelves which is set to SMALL. All is set to small, and my setting is LFE only and not LFE+Main. Interestingly enough when I did the audyssey auto configuration it picked up my centre channel as large, which I changed...

    'El Cheapo' 5.1 amp/receiver recommendations?

I think you can get yourself a fairly "cheap" Denon X1300. Its a 7.1, can handle all the encoding and 2 can use the other 2 channels to drive another source. Plus is will support cheaper speakers, that dont have the 6-8 ohms other amps support. There is a cheap one on gumtree I see, but use a...

    Ubiquiti Brand - Routers

Hi everyone, I am looking to setup my home networking "properly". A friend recommended Ubiquiti. Does anyone here have any experience with the product, because there is not much online about it. Most people always refer to the usual brands. (TP-Link, D-Link, Asus, etc)

Subwoofers moves when played a little louder?

Thanks for all the advice guys, but someone on the forum offered me the opportunity to trade up (i.e. buy theirs) so I think I will take them on their offer and sell my 2 monitor audio subwoofers.

Subwoofers moves when played a little louder?

Wow, here I thought I had a simple question, but I am learning allot. Especially the part of the wasted energy. I think I will take the advice of putting a weight on top simply because I have a down firing auxiliary bass driver. Thanks for all the feedback!

Subwoofers moves when played a little louder?

Sounds like a good idea. Here I was just thinking of selling these and getting a bigger set of subwoofers. The question I had, does other brand subwoofers do the same?

    Raspberry pi and showmax

Did u ever get this working, because I have had no success. I understand the reason why it does not work is because the raspberry pi does not have  a DRM chip on it.

Subwoofers moves when played a little louder?

:whistler: yes just a "little" louder... I think it is because of the Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR). I don't play then loud at all, I just was not sure if other guys experience the same as me.

Subwoofers moves when played a little louder?

I have a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze W10 speakers for about 1 year now. I am very happy with them, but they tend to "bounce" when I turn the volume up a little. I would have thought it would be weighted properly to not do that, and does all sub's do that? It is on tiles at present. I am...
