Its also more an ambiance thing for me - I don't feel the cold. We camp quite a bit - proper bush camping ... so I like the idea of a fire, good music and a good book.

In my case - the room is small - also open plan - but I have blockout curtains at the two entries for when we use the projector. I think gas will be fine for the room size. 24.75m2 (also have to panel heaters on the wall)

There proximity to the heat might also be a problem - also considering changing the fireplace to gas, to avoid excess smoke potentially running the screen or painting... We have two 19kg gas bottles for the stove just left of the fireplace outside.

Those might work - I need to get my projector screen back up so I can see how much space I can work with. I'd obviously sell the Polk speakers and subs - but don't want to get in a situation where I end up spending a further fortune replacing them.

Yes, the brackets are for the projector screen.. That is a possibility - will depend on the size of the center speaker.
