Media PC re-tidy - lots of pics warning

Hi fellow nerds, Previously I had my media PC custom built into my own TV cabinet I made (pic below). I have (about a year ago) moved house and sold off the custom cabinet, so my media PC was loosely bundled with all cables, wires and dust into a cupboard with some crudely cut holes in it...

Remotely add torrents to android device

I couldn't get teamviewer to work: 1. You always have to "accept" the incoming connection on the tab 2. The "mouse" and touch location on the tab were totally out, so it wasn't usable either

Remotely add torrents to android device

Remotely add torrents to android device

Hello fellow forumites, I use my Android tab as my download machine as it's simply sips away on juice 24 hours a day downloading what-ever I need it to. However, I have been quote curious as to how to get that to happen remotely, eg. it would be kick ass, if I can access my home torrent client...

100+ amp surge... some fried bits

Hi Joel, To be honest I cant recall, I've already given it to the battery shop to dispose of (which they probably repair and re-sell at large profit :) ) Previously, I have had really noticable differences in my cars by putting in a proper quality deep cycle battery. I had an old Toyota Tazz...

100+ amp surge... some fried bits

So, basically, both batteries in the car totally depleted. My Alternator died whilst I was far out in the middle of no where and I had no choice but to drive back without repairing it (car is a 4.2 diesel so thankfully no spark plugs needed). By the time I got back the brakes / indicators...

100+ amp surge... some fried bits

It was totally depleted down to less then 1v which must have done some damage to it. So far it's cost me my sound processor, a few fuses and my aircon compressor. The more I drive the more I am finding has died. :(

100+ amp surge... some fried bits

Wow, cool little site that! I like it. I like the plain old minidsp 2x4. My previous processor (Rockford 3sixty.2) was awesome, it basically connected to the head unit outputs (speaker cable or RCA), you play a certain test tune from CD at max volume (well... max before any clipping) and it...

100+ amp surge... some fried bits

Morning fellow sound nerds, Interesting development on the car noise side, I managed to explode a battery the other day (big 90amp hour deep cycle jobbie) as it had totally run down completely, re-charged and then when I tried starting the car it literally exploded. The surge was so strong that...

    Glasses Free 3D projector

from www.engadget.com found here Glasses-free 3D projector offers a cheap alternative to holograms Holograms are undoubtedly spiffy-looking, but they're not exactly cheap; even a basic holographic projector made from off-the-shelf parts can cost thousands of dollars. MIT researchers may have a...

Weird PC issues - no sound / video thru hdmi

@Skylark, I just had the latest drivers for each component downloaded and I installed them manually, and turned windows update completely off. Only MS Security essentials updates now. There is obviously a security risk without the updates but as it's just a media machine with nothing else really...

Feedback on my sub (Jamo 650) and amp (Onkyo NR 808) upgrade...

I'm a big believer in the Audyssey setup. I think you should give it another go. First do the firmware update, then try Audyssey anyways as after a firmware update all your current settings will be gone.

Cheap and decent DIY speaker kit from the UK / SA

I do like alot of the stuff found on parts-express and the other forums, but of course the biggest issue is the cost of shipping single orders to SA :(
