I have a pair of 700 and a pair 701 they both sound great. The 700 for its size it punches well over its weight. Compared to PSB, JPW and Paradigm of that size and age. The 701 aswell is also an amazing speaker bass extension like that of a bigger speaekrs. compared the 701 to my Infinty RS21i...

Impedence will determine the amount of power supplied to the sub. eg 2 channel will play 50x2 @ 4ohms bridging that will give you 120x1 at 2ohm... which also means more power to drive the amp to deliver stable signal Best bet will be a cheap mono car amp and problem will be solved. Not really...

The are good tv's bud. Picture is also great... Go for it at the price it makes sense vs other brands (prices for the same size screen). Also a good warranty as mention in the post above vs other brands.  

Id say ideal price R1.5k would be fair given age and amount of usage.
