Pool heating company needed - East Rand

Hi guys, I need someone trustworthy in the East Rand area to come and have a look at the pool's solar heating that developed a leak. I'm told the system we have is rather specific and it was suggested it all needs to be replaced. I'm in sales, and I can spot chancer a mile away... thx!

    Telkom to MWEB?

I had the totally opposite experience from Openweb. And, bearing in mind I had problems from the first day, they still insisted that I pay for a full calender month. Thats right, I had to use them for 2 months... ******** - how hard up can you be for R500?!

First speaker project for the new year

^^^ Thanks man! So, managed to get the display sorted with a much better font for the big numbers: The camera does not capture the 'purity' of the colour properly, it looks pretty washed out on the image. But these OLEDs really do perform magnitudes better than any LCD I've played with.

First speaker project for the new year

And the sub's been built, not much to see as pics go as it's just a white box under my desk. But I'm pretty happy with the way the electronics came out; I'm not sure the diagrams will be that clear but anyone can contact me for schematics. The Mux, Volume, Tone control part: This is based on...

    Non-oversampling Digital filter-less DAC Concept

Eish, I was hoping to avoid having to dig deep into this. Basically, Nyquist suggests that the highest frequency that can be 'recreated' in Analogue domain, digitally, is half the sampling frequency. In the case of Redbook, this is 22,050kHz. Past this, you are getting aliasing frames (this is...

    Non-oversampling Digital filter-less DAC Concept

Hmmmmm.... I started typing a really loooong reply, got to about a 1/3rd of what I wanted to say and realised I was going to hit 10k words without issue.  :ROFLMAO: Briefly, Filterless is misguided and dangerous for gear down the line (22,050kHz frames alias frames aren't attenuated). Compound...

Behringer EP1500 - any good? And where to fix / service?

The fans in these will drive you bananas. Off memory, I think the fans worked all the time. And with that Class G stage it's introducing a fair amount of distortion when pushed hard I think.

    Chassis wiring?

Nope, not generally published. But a P=VI calc should get you close enough to the danger zone - you generally try not to go over 50% of the device dissipation. The application with 5W dissipation - is that in your VAS stage? That's a LOT of current for a small signal stage.

    Chassis wiring?

It's called dissipation boet. Remember when we spoke about SOA a while back? you can have the rated voltage, or the rated current - not both. When things start exploding then I'm pretty sure you've exceeded dissipation by a factor of 100.

Where to buy all my DIY goodies?

+1 highly recommended. I've been there once or twice, but looked mostly like junk? Almost like the old AP used to be, just muuuuuch smaller. What have they got you can't get at Mantech? I go to Turbo Fasteners in Jet Park. If there's something weird I want, they order for me. There's also a...

Speaker and XO design software - Current favourites

Twice I've upgraded and once I needed him to add my audio hardware to his 'approved' list. If he sat across the desk from me I would've assaulted him. If I had other options I would've jumped at it, but I'm already invested - mostly in time learning the software. The thought of learning...
