Can anyone confirm if postnet are able to receive hifi related stuff? I'm getting mixed info as I read the net, unless i'm confused?
I'm going to ask The Courier Guy and see what they say too
Cheap is a relative term. Some relatives are cheaper than others.
Re comparison to their high end kit, I agree, but then Primare may be hitting a sweet spot giving high[er] end sound at a better price than Krell and its Kronies
If your main speakers are the B&W CDM7's do you really need that much power? Honestly what will a RB1090 do that a RB1080 won't do? And tere is a 1080 in the classifieds right now
I'd say there is something to this. I'm driving a pair of Jamo C97's rated at 89db and max of 200 watts with a Rotel RB1077 100 watt power amp. I can't turn the volume past 50% because it's just too loud. But i do know that a higher powered amp does change the characteristics of the sound. ...
Have you tried this? I.e. have you tried using a sub riser i guess to get it to that height? Do you do this for finding the best placement for the sub or do you leave it there permanently?
I think Miller & Kreisel make speakers specifically designed for HT use with frequencies capped at 80hZ. Really good for movies, but don't do well if want them to double up for music as well. That's just been my experience with a few pairs that I owned. But for movies they rock...
This post will get your count up ;D
Need to keep the rue. Also the dodgy people with "0" post count that try to "buy" from forumites and then disappear are another trend to watch out for

FYI Hunted. I just got in a Integra DTR 50.6. Just put it in the classifieds section - http://www.integrahometheater.com/Products/model.php?m=DTR-50.6&class=Receiver&source=prodClass
Seeing as people are offering you amps, I've got the Denon AVR-X4200w for R9850. Great amp with 99% of all modern bells and whistles without the price tag. It will compare favourably with the Marantz 7300 you have re power, but will be quite a bit more refined. In terms of new technology. ...
Finally a post that warms me heart me maties. Merge commercial and trader.
Add a new rule. Only one BUMP per 7-10 day period. No more than 3 BUMPs like this unless there is a significant reduction in price. The whole BUMPING thing becomes a fiasco from time to time
Not really for stereo via RCA or up to 5.1. via coax or optical cable. Only HDMI can run master HD audio, 7.1 or higher. You can take your picture straight to your TV via a separate HDMI cable
The main advantage of getting a hdmi is ease of use. Otherwise just use your Yamaha. HDMI won't offer superior sound if you are sticking to stereo or 5.1
I have this set up also for consideration:

In a nutshell you may get more power for...
Not sure is this is the right section. I've never used on of these. I'm getting one in as part of a consignment of items. What would a fair resale value be?
Item is in very good condition

I'd only put granite on the bases, never the tops, else too top heavy (unless you have heavier bases. But it would be overkill)
Then fill with dry sand/grit - rice is a nice idea. My stands are filled with lead shot - they were manufactured that way. they weigh about 25-30kg per stand
Fix...
