    Xover point

I used a piece of perspex that I screwed to the base of the router (removed the routers own bottom plastic piece first). I made marks on the perspex before I fitted it. I can cut holes with diameters of 20mm to 300mm. I put a small nail in the centre of the wood where hole should go and snip off...

    Xover point

Om te meet is om te weet... Measure the drivers like BBE22 suggested and then get to a crossover point. I also winged it on my current build and got it COMPLETELY wrong... Now I have to resort to box changes and Rambo'ing the crossover... I will measure my drivers again to see where I went...

    2-way build

Some progress... or actually I'm not sure its progress... I changed it from a 2 way to a 3 way. I'm adding a 8" driver in the side panel to add more bass. The tests I did on a test panel with the 8" in place had good results. There is a big dip between the mid and high but fixable with the...

    2-way build

[emoji58] I have been trying to sort out the crossover for this project the WHOLE day and I just cant get it sounding good [emoji24] Too bright then too muted then ZERO bass or very little bass... I know the box is the problem with the bass but the crossover should sort the highs and mids...

Some more playing... I hooked up my old frequency gen just to see what the box response is like... Sommer used the phones mic to see what happens. And even with that mic it seems to have nice response. Not finished yet but it is looking good sofar Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I have some time on my hands. The fun started yesterday [emoji16] I finished the rough woodwork for ONE box... and started on the second one. I should be done by the end of the week with wood work and then the real fun starts - the cross over [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930F...

    2-way build

I have already started the build with the TL so changing now will not be worth the wood (everything has been cut to size already). BUT The design is a tapered TL ( gets narrower to the port) with a large'ish chamber (2x VAS) by the driver. The tapered tube gets folded 3x (4x ~equal length...

    2-way build

I did get the TS params from Brian for these Mission drivers. They did seem good enough for a TL speaker. Physically, it would seem the cones are stiff enough - I think  - to handle the TL requirement. The line is 192cm long which is a 1/4 wave length of  44.688Hz. I'm folding the "tube"...
