my issue with those all in one is if 1 component fails, you have to change everything... so on the long run option 2 is a whole lot better imho

do you have to register a US netflix account, or is the content changing based on the location, or fake location, using the same SA Netflix accounf?

I agree the issue with UHD might be the calibration, but when you spend that kind of many it should be setup good to go. It's like if you go buy a car and the steering is loose and wheels not aligned... shouldn't happen

I have the Denon 2400, so more entry level, but it is great (i was lucky to be in the uk fro black friday and got it for shy of R8k)

I run 603s3 at the front and they're great (LCR60 s3 center, asw650 sub and soon 4 LM1 surround)

One thing I'd like them to do is unify the viewing environment of extra view. I have 2 explora  and i would love it to see all my recorded content in one place irrespective of which decoder i used to press record

on a side note maybe. how much content is available with Atmos? Is it only the 4K BD or do normal BD also have it?

It would definitely have been I think if it was from my short term insurance, here it was part of an extended warranty on the amp

so a final update.... I took more than 3 months and teh amp travelling from CPT to Joburg and finally to Durban, for them to decide it cannot be fixed and pay me back... I therefore obtained a Denon AVRX2400H on my last trip to the UK... Very nice upgrade in the end

ok, so an update 2 months later... after they couldn't find the parts in Cape Town or Joburg from the repairer Dion sent it to, the insurer, M&F has decided the unit needed to be sent to Durban to their own technical team to try and fix it... And i'm still waiting...

So a quick update. The amp was sent for assessment eventually, the fault was diagnosed (although i don't have a report yet), BUT, now they cannot find the part in CPT or JHB... The insurance came back saying it cannot be repaired... I'm waiting to see what they will give, but i've been told at...

well at least they can repair. I just been told my Marantz 5008 cannot be as they cannot find the part... it's not even 3 years old...

so a few days in and i have to admit i think i like it :) the picture seems sharper to me and i haven't done any calibration yet. i like the way there are now clear edges where the tv frame is.

maybe post a photo of screen side connector so people can see both end
