My AV system consists of the following:

LG 51' Plasma TV (LG 50pa4500)
Denon AVR 1713
PS3
HTPC
DSTV HD PVR

All input sources are connected via HDMI to receiver. Single HDMI from receiver going into TV.
System works great, with sources selected via receiver.

My question is how do view DSTV without going through the receiver, as when the wife is watching or during the day, when my toddler is at home watching TV, TV sound is fine for them. I don't want the receiver running the entire day, if not needed.

I'm currently using the RCA from the PVR directly into the TV, however the picture is no longer HD.
Is there a way around this ?

The only other option i can think of; is buying a HDMI splitter for the PVR ?

I did look to see my receiver has HDMI passthough if in sleep mode, it does not.
