I'm hoping that someone will be able to assist me with my choice of speaker upgrade. I currently have Polk RTI-8's driven by a Marantz (110 watt/ch) receiver. The Polk's sound great with any music (very good bass, don't even use a sub with them), but maybe a bit "thin", especially at higher volumes. I am looking for something than has a nice "full", "smooth", "rounded" sound (if that's the way to describe it). The speakers must be able to play LOUD, and priced in the <R20k range.
I've read good reviews on the Cerwin Vega CLS-215's, as well as some of PSB's speaker range. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
