Hi,
I have a pretty resonant wooden floor and want to isolate my speakers (B&W CDM2) from a stand and the stand from the floor. I'm looking for materials that are, preferably, locally available and don't cost the earth.
Sorbothane seems to come recommend quite often, but only seems readily available from overseas, and even before import costs is quite pricey, e.g. Amazon.com
Ofc, any rubbery material would offer some degree of isolation, but does anyone have practical knowledge of what locally available things might work well?
Some things I'm considering:

Some things I'm considering:
- Adhesive non slip tape. Just stick some strip on the top and bottom of the stands
- Garden variety adhesive furniture pads
- Cutting up a vibration reducing mat
- Cutting up some product meant for automotive sound deadening, e.g. Economy pad or PAR pad .
