Got it working last night. I selected the TV icon and not the AVR in windows 7 audio properties tab. Battlefield 3 is nice with a 47" lcd and a B&W system. Life can be soooo good sometimes. Thanks for the help guys :thumbs:

Yes the AVR is on the right input. I get picture but no sound. How do you set it up for audio over HDMI? I use HDMI input 1. I use it for my blueray player and then I have sound. Only pluged it out at the blueray player and pluged it in at my PC

I am running windows 7 profesional. I have played around with the set as default device. It shows a reciever icon and I did set that as default, but no sound?

Hi ladies and gents. I connected my my PC to the Reciever by the HDMI output of my screencard. I get picture on the TV but no sound on the speakers. Does the GPU not give out sound via the HDMI? A while back when the GPU got hot (Asus Smart Doctor fan limmits were too low) my sound would go...

Thinks I got an answer. The shaker induces an EMI into the power grid. I need an AC line filter or EMI filter. You get them built into multi plugs etc or the ferrite core ones. Just nobody in Lichtenburg or Stilbaai would have any. :headbanger:

LOL  :thumbs: It sounds like trolling but i'm not honnest. The house is supplied with a single phase connection so its gonna be difficult to put it on another circuit. If by circuit you mean seperating the plugs circuit brakers that the lounge is fed from a seperate braker than I could go try...
