Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't the cable between your wall socket and your gear make pretty much no difference considering all the cable that's been chased into the wall etc? Or am I misunderstanding this?

Yow, had no idea that it made that much of a difference. Placement I can get, stability I didn't expect. Are wallmounts a viable option? Only way I can think I will get correct placement otherwise.
